Welcome to the Goard Lab

The overarching goal of my research is to better understand how the mammalian neocortex processes and stores incoming sensory information. To this end, my lab employs large-scale two-photon calcium imaging, multi-unit electrophysiology, and optogenetic manipulation of neural activity in behaving mice.

Our lab extends our gratitude for generous support from: NIH (R00), NSF (NeuroNex), the Whitehall Foundation, the Larry L. Hillblom Foundation, the Hellman Fellows Fund, UC MEXUS-CONACYT, the Harvey Karp Discovery Award, and the Gottsdanker Research Fund.
