My research focuses on the regulation of biomolecular condensates in neuronal dendrites and its involvement on synaptic plasticity. I am also studying the gene expression variation control by lncRNAs during the cell fate determination of hES and iPS cells. Previously I was working on mammalian brain development and neurodevelopmental diseases using in utero gene transfer techniques.
My research interests include the role of microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs in the molecular processes underlying neuronal regeneration using a combination of computer modeling, data analysis and molecular biology.
My research focuses on the functions and interactions of RNA. Using a combination of bioinformatics, molecular biology, and structural biology, I address questions about the role of RNA in neurological disorders.
