We wish Elham the best in her new position as an Engineer at Medtronic, Inc.  She contributed much to the lab while she was here and we know she will achieve great things wherever she is.

November, 2013 - Elam Alipanahiramandi joins our lab as a visiting researcher!!

Elam grew up in Iran and graduated from Tehran University majoring in Animal Biology before moving to the United States to get her masters in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University!

May, 2013 Misty defends her PhD Thesis!

Congratulations to Misty Riddle, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation! She will continue working with us for another year as a post doc to finish up more projects for publication!



May, 2013 - Davon joins the lab as a new postdoc
We welcomed our newest postdoc to the lab, Davon Callander, on May 1. Davon grew up on Vancouver Island, BC, following on the fine tradition of Canadian postdocs who have worked in the group. She performed graduate studies on zebrafish neural developoment at U. Calgary, and on stress response in mussels at Canterbury U., New Zealand, and Oregon State U. Davon will be investigating quantitative genetic variation of handedness determination and germline stem cell proliferation.
