Research Area

I received my undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound, where I worked under Eric Scharrer synthesizing bent-core liquid crystals.  I joined the Waite lab in 2014 and have been with peptide and peptoid mimics of the mussel foot proteins to understand how backbone flexibility and hydrophobicity influence adhesion.
