Biography

Hello reader! My name is Kobe Nguyen and I am a 4th year student interested in utilizing my understanding of aging to explore potential treatments for type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus. Diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease runs in my family and so I have been extremely interested in learning more about these chronic diseases. In the future, I hope to attend medical school, complete my residency in internal medicine and pursue an endocrinology fellowship to become an endocrinologist. Besides my professional interests, my favorite thing about lab has to be having Juwel and his other undergrads test taste my baked goods. They are like my guinea pigs.

Research Area

Along with Juwel, I am working with Noah and Perrine to further our understanding of lifespan & healthspan extension in C. elegans through cellular reprogramming.
