I am a Masters student in the Rothman Lab pursuing a masters in MCD Biology with emphasis in Biotechnology. I was born and brought up in Punjab, India. I enjoy playing soccer and trying different foods. I am an EMT and love doing clinical work along with research. My future goal is to combine my passions for surgery and research to help develop new cutting edge treatment approaches.
My current research focuses on establishing the role of caspases in mitochondrial purifying selection. I primarily focus on the Programmed Cell Death pathway and the aging pathway and use C elegans as a model organism to understand the mechanism of mtDNA purifying selection in the germline.
